Hafiz is an experienced traditional and contemporary Malay dancer, having spent 10 years as a performer, head of publicity and young choreographer in performing arts group Azpirasi. Some musical directors that Hafiz has worked with include Nikki Snelson, Edith Podesta, Daniel Jenkins and Alvin Chiam. Hafiz’s strong ambition to direct and choreograph for both stage and film led him to enrol in LASALLE College of the Arts’ BA(Hons) Musical Theatre programme, after specialising in filmmaking since his diploma in mass communication.
