Nurulhuda Hassan

BA(Hons) Musical Theatre
2018 — 2021

Nurul began her foray into theatre as a classically trained actor, having been a proud recipient of the Lee Foundation Talent Scholarship to study English drama at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 2013. She has served in a wide array of creative roles – from being a percussionist, sound designer and actor for the Singapore International Festival of Arts (Ways of Wandering, 2014), to performing site-specific devised work at the National Gallery (Reframing Modernism, 2016), as well as singing contemporary German opera with The Opera People (Der Zwerg, 2019). A brief internship at Sing'theatre in 2018 also expanded her horizons as an assistant director and teaching assistant for its musical theatre training programme.
