Mika Zulfadly Amin

Mika is a composer and songwriter. He founded and performs with the band Elektone, who has opened for a number of international acts in Singapore including Jens Lekman (Sweden) in ‘Postcards From Gothenburg’ in 2007. He was also a music contributor for the Youth Olympic Games compilation CD in 2010. He was the mix-engineer for ‘Bring Back The Vibe’ by The Pinholes released in 2020 which has since garnered over 67,000 streams on Spotify and 47,000 views on YouTube. His sound design blends band style music performance with the mixing style of electronic music production. Mika is currently involved in mixing and arranging for new emerging artistes in the Malay music industry.

Work

Mika served as the QLab/Ableton Live Operator for the Theater Production Project Walking: A Multidisciplinary Poem with Angélique Cormier - a collaborative project involving the Diplomas in Audio Production, Dance, BA in Music and MA in Creative Writing. He also worked on the live sound for 2020 musical theater showcase godeatgod (dir. by Alvin Tan) as the QLab operator and RF engineer.
