Shaun is an up-and-coming contemporary pianist and a piano teacher. He started playing the classical piano at the age of four under the guidance of his mother, but soon fell in love with jazz and blues. Shaun has represented his high school at the Cluster West 6 Music Concert two years in a row in 2011 and 2012 and has served in his church's worship ministry since the age of 15. Shaun graduated with a Diploma in Music from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2017 and will graduate with a BA(Hons) Music degree in 2021. His exposure to a great variety of music genres has made him a more versatile keyboardist, with influences from R&B, funk and gospel genres. Some of the artists he is inspired by include Cory Wong, Brian Culbertson and Kirk Franklin.

Work

Shaun recently collaborated with local artiste Thaddeus Lin on his album I Wish It Rained Forever. The songs 'I Must Go' and 'What’s This Feelin’ feature Shaun's well-rounded, contemporary piano and keyboard playing style. Another of Shaun’s notable accomplishments was clinching the first runner-up title with his band Tentafifth at competition Band Blast (2019).
