Ridz Razali
Ridz is an artist and musician that does not let his music be defined by genres. He possesses a unique musical style which blends his love for guitars and percussions into original compositions. Ridz has performed on local and international stages as a solo artist as well as with bands like Wicked Aura, Sambiesta, Motus and The Jazz Jogets. He opened for Hoobastank in Singapore for their world tour in 2015 and has performed on stages such as the Percumon Percussion Festival (Spain) and Summer Sonic 2017 (Japan). Besides performing, Ridz is also a session musician and has done sessions for guitars and percussion for artists such as Aisyah Aziz, Rudy Djoe, Nathan Hartono, Fauxe, Cravism and Duumu among many others. He won a National Youth Film Award for Best Original Soundtrack for the film Vichora in 2020.
Work
Ridz sessioned percussion for Aisyah Aziz's Live English EP Sugar. He toured Tokyo with the band Wicked Aura and played at Summer Sonic 2017 in Tokyo, Japan. He also played percussions for Wicked Aura's album and a single for the band Motus. Ridz performed at festivals including electronic music festival CHOPPA (2021) and Percumon Percussion Festival in Sagunto, Spain at which he clinched an award.
