Hanisah Tan (Nysah Tan)
Nysah is a Singaporean music producer and performer who started out as a percussionist in a Batucada ensemble. She subsequently joined NADI Singapura Ltd where she thrives on performing the drums and percussion of the Malay archipelago both locally and overseas. Her studies in electronic music at LASALLE along with her latest obsession with the handpan has led her to produce works that combine the two elements. Currently, Nysah is venturing into sound design where she hopes to continue pushing her artistic boundaries as a music producer.
Work
In late 2019, Nysah was involved in a collaborative show with Ableton where she performed the handpan for the first time. Towards the end of 2020, she performed an original piece on the handpan in Berita Harian's online infotainment show called The BM Show. In early 2021, Nysah was featured in The Modular House Show – an initiative by Modular House Productions to promote intimate live performances for various artists residing in Singapore, where she performed an entire original live set with the handpan.
